Learning Outcomes
As a result of the Ambassadors course, participants will be able to:
Discuss the mission and key messages of Generation Rx within its framework as a safe medication use and misuse avoidance prevention strategy for appropriate audiences.
Explain medication safety principles and the consequences associated with medication misuse behaviors in an age-appropriate manner.
Implement a Generation Rx educational program that demonstrates best practices in prevention and education sciences while maintaining program integrity.
Goal 1: Promote effective education and conversations about medication safety
Ambassadors use effective techniques and educational resources to teach safe medication practices in their communities and to their patients.
Goal 2: Extend the reach of Generation Rx
Ambassadors extend the reach of Generation Rx by confidently promoting the program to appropriate audiences and serving as medication safety leaders in their communities.
Goal 3: Build a network of medication safety leaders
Ambassadors exchange knowledge and share programming efforts and evaluation, as well as personal tips, stories, and experiences within the Generation Rx community.
